This is a rough poem, but I needed to let it out. I got no name, so this'll do. I also posted this on MR, and this is the shortened version of my two page long one.
____
I watch the life around me,
So full,
All so happy,
So ignorant.
I envy their moments of bliss joy,
Knowing never again will I.
For life had put an evil twist to my life.
One I'd never forget.
One that left me
In a place of neverending darkness.
Straddling the edge.
Wandering a trail that I knew not the way.
They sent me a guide,
Someone who chanllenged all that I knew.
Opposed the easy life I lived.
The memories and guilt I'd long forgotten,
She reminded me of.
I remembered my oath,
One I'd broken, and mocked.
She lifted a haze, I never knew existed.
She took my life,
And made it a rage of chaos,
Then gave me strength to bear it.
Control it.
I remebered the person I used to be.
The person I'd become,
And strove to make someone better.
I watch the life around me,
So full,
All so happy,
So ignorant.
I envy their moments of bliss joy,
Knowing never again will I.
Others could not stand their past.
Their guilt. Their failures, the truth.
Never did they relent in their torment to her.
It was a burden she was forced to carry.
They beat, and pushed her away.
My closest friend.
A reassuring hand when there were none.
One who would do the right thing,
When none else would.
My closest friend.
A year ago she was a stranger.
Now, a spirit kndred to my own.
Life had put an evil twist to my life.
One I'd never forget.
One that left me
In a place of neverending darkness.
Straddling the edge.
Wandering a trail that I knew not the way.
They seperated us.
When our need was strong.
They're hate, and shame
Consuming them
They beat us down,
Till we had little life within us.
Now you, my friend, sit at home
Fearing your very shadow.
While I flounder,
Stumbling on the path
That had been my restoration,
But only darkness covers it
Filling me with dread and fear.
I watch the life around me,
So full,
All so happy,
So ignorant.
I envy their moments of bliss joy,
Knowing never again will I.
For life had put an evil twist to my life.
One I'd never forget.
One that left me
In a place of neverending darkness.
Straddling the edge.
Wandering a trail that I knew not the way.
Now one sees beyond the veil,
No one notices that they see is a mere mask.
One made of lies.
They believe they are right.
They believe they beleive they have won.
They have.
For she is no longer who she was,
And they think me happy.
But I stand behind a towering wall,
Standing in a barren land.
They believe they have won.
They have.
