What do you guys do when you get it? I get it all the time, and I hate it (hence the siggy)! So I want to get some ideas on how to get past it. Once David Lubar (writer of Dunk and some other novels...) came to my school for an author visit and he said one way of getting past writer's block is making a list of things that can happen next. Sometimes I use that idea. And a lot of times it doesn't work, because then I don't know how to write it out. So... Ideas?

I hit my head against a hard wall repeadiatlloy until I look like a combo of these: by then my brain hurts so much it appears painfully clear what to do.

How about just keeping all your feelings in during the day, or something, and letting everything that happened that day out that night. Or, think about your past. Your successes and failures, and dreams. I've not been a big writer of late, but I always can think of a story from my dreams, and things I hoped for as a child, etc.

Hmmm writers block... Well, I usually save what I've written so far. Sit down with a mug of cappucino or coffee or something (OMG, Don't give UR COFFEE!!!) and either read a book or watch TV. That might give you an idea that could help you. If worst comes to worst when writing a story, I usually make one of the characters die, or get sick. Then they goto hospital or their friends go crazy or something, then i get back on track. lol and there you go, pfft you never get much help from me lol

yeah. tragedy is always the way to go when you fall victim of writers block j/k my G&T teacher made me stare at what I had written so far (on Friday, writing poem) and read it over and over until I got an idea.

That might work actually! I never really have gotten writers block, mainly because at night when im lying in bed I just think up some cool ideas about what should happen in my fanfics.

I write whenever I feel like shedding off some emotion. Oh and by the way, I quickly jumped onto MR, and posted a next chapter to my story. I just hope my mum didn't see that I was on it *is worried*
